Energy, form and vibrant color are inherent in the paintings of Linda Holt. She is fascinated with the mysteries of color and says, "Within each of us lives our own unique rhythm, song, and images..and then there is color. Color in its purest form is color at its most intriguing for me. Bold and bright, color energizes everything around us." She credits her mother's garden with establishing her palette as a young child and feels that working with art is playful. Mesmerized by the work of Henri Matisse she continues to be influenced by his sense of composition and pattern.
